Mritasanjeevani Arishta (Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakal)
Mritasanjeevani Arishta is a very special Ayurvedic preparation in liquid form. This product is hailed for its ability to help even a dying person. It is an Arishta preparation meaning, it is an herbal wine product as it contains self generated alcohol. Compared to other Arishta products, Mritasanjeevani contains higher percentage of self generated alcohol.
Mritasanjeevani Arishta is used to improve immunity and it nourishes body tissues.
Ingredients: jaggery is first dissolved in water and it is then added with Babbula Twak Acacia arabica Pomegranate Vasa Adhatoda vasica Mocharasa Exudate of Bombax ceiba Lajjali Touch me not plant (mimosa pudica) Ativisha Aconitum heterophyllum Ashwagandha Withania somnifera Devadaru Cedrus deodara Bilva Aegle marmelos Shyonaka Oroxylum indicum Patala Stereospermum suaveolens Shalaparni Desmodium gangeticum Prishnaparni Uraria picta Brihati Solanum indicum Kantakari Solanum xanthocarpum Gokshura Tribulus terrestris Indravaruni Citrullus colocynthis Kola - Ziziphus jujuba Eranda Ricinus communis Punarnava Boerhaavia diffusa
This mixture of herbs water and jaggery solution is kept closed for 16 days. Then it is opened and the following herbs in coarse powder form are again added to it:
Betel nut Dhattura Clove Padmaka - Prunus cerasoides Usheera Vetivera zizanioides Red sandalwood Pterocarpus marsupium Shatapushpa Sounf -Foeniculum vulgare Yamani Trachyspermum ammi Black pepper White caraway seed Shati Hedychium spicatum Jatamamsi Nardostachys jatamansi Cinnamon Cardamom Nutmeg Mustaka Cyperus rotundus Granthiparni - Leonotis nepetifolia Ginger Fenugreek Meshashringi - Gymnema Sylvestre White sandalwood Santalum album
After adding the above herbs to the vessel, the vessel is sealed again and kept as such for further four days. Then the ingredients are taken out and subjected to distillation. The clear distilled liquid is Mritasanjeevani Arishta.
