Habit – Gross in tropical regions Useful part – Root Common uses-: Nagabala churna with ghee and honey used urakshata kseena. The root of nagabala with milk promotes strength and life span. Powder of nagabala root with arjuna cures heart diseases, cough and dyspnoea To get the aphrodisiac property, its root powder 3 gm should be taken along with milk. In boils or wounds, its root powder should be used externally.¬† Its juice is also helpful to heal the same. In diarrhea, the decoction of its leaves should be taken in the dose of 40 ml. Indications – Nagbala has properties to pacify provocation of Vata and Pitta humor. It is useful as a nervine tonic, brain tonic, demulcent, anti-acidic, expectorant, antipyretic, diuretic, aphrodisiac, carminative, and cardiac tonic. Also in Vata vyadhi, koshtagata Vata, Kasa, raktapradara, amlapitta, urakshata, shosha, shukra dourbalya, jwara, gridroga, rakta pitta. |
