It is astringent and useful in diarrhea. Bruised leaves are applied on boils, sores, and other skin diseases. The bark is used in uterine bleeding; it is boiled with milk and used as a drink. Heartwood is used in inflammation and diabetes. It pacifies vitiated Kapha, pitta, leucoderma, hemorrhoids, diarrhea, arthritis cough, and greying of hair. Also used in reducing cholesterol, leprosy, leucoderma, rectalgia, constipation, hemorrhages, and even rheumatoid arthritis. Indications – It is used externally in leucoderma, erysipelas, hair fall, and skin disorders. It is used internally in worm infestations, diarrhea, dysentery, bleeding disorders, gout, osteoarthritis, diabetes, erysipelas, and skin disorders.
