Brahmi Ghrita (Baidyanath)
Brahmi Grita is a potent combination of bacopa monniera and Evolvulus
alsinoides in a medium of ghee (clarified butter). This combination is the choicest for relieving stress in pitta, kapha, and vata imbalances, in that order. This combination of herbs is tridoshic, and hence useful for all constitutions. Further, ghee is one of the most effective mediums for deep treating tonics, as it carries the herbs to the plasma, the nerves, and the subtle channels, all the while encouraging tissue metabolic function and regeneration, in addition to enhancing the ojas and so generally supporting revitalization and the immune system. This blend of herbs in a ghee medium is consequently very effective for relieving stress and nerve related pain, enhancing intelligence, memory, mental stability, and tranquility. It gives symptomatic relief for related conditions, but is also effective against chronic conditions. It helps one adapt more easily to change and hence relieves mental fatigue. Ayurvedic scriptures state that it is an important revitalizer of the spirit, and should be in every home.
Brahmi is the herb of the mind, yogis of the Himalaya have been using it as food for meditation for hundreds of years, and continue to do so to this day.
Brahmi Ghrita improves intellect, memory, speech and other brain functions. Extremely beneficial in epilepsy, hysteria, mental retardation and impaired memory. It is also useful to induce the healthy sleep in insomnia.
Suggested Usage:-
Adults : 5-10 gms. twice daily.
Children : 2-5 gms. twice daily.
