Charak Femiplex Tablets Indications:- Excessive vaginal discharge due to fungal / bacterial / protozoal infection
- Abnormal / excessive vaginal discharge associated with pregnancy
- Recurrent vaginitis
Dosage: 2 tablets twice a day till discharge stops, followed by 1 tablet bid for three months to check recurrence. Benefits: - Ashoka chhal, Lodhra, Kankola and Phitkari Shuddha are astringents that reduce excessive vaginal discharge.
- Triphala and japa chhal relieve pruritus.
- Chandanam, Daruharidra, Ashoka chhal and Trivang bhasma treat the vaginal discharge of infective origin.
- Gandharars, Gokshru and triphala act as pelvic decongestants thereby decreasing the amount of vaginal discharge.
- Loh bhasma and Guduchi provide nutritional support.

Do's- Maintain good hygiene of vaginal area.
- If you find any discharge or itching, take medical advice immediately
- Wear undergarments which fit well and which absorb moisture eg.cotton
- Do eat balanced meals and healthy food, and get the right amount of sleep. Eat a nutritious meal rich in fresh vegetables and fruits. Avoid high fat meals.
- Do take your medicine regularly. Your medicine won’t work if you only take it once in a while.
- Consumption of cow’s milk, cow’s ghee is useful.
Don'ts:- Excessive vaginal douching with strong chemicals can cause harm.
- Wearing of nylon undergarments can lead to inflammation and itching. Avoid them.
THERAPEUTIC RATIONALE:FEMIPLEX tablets are used for the treatment for recurrent vaginitis. Female genital tract is very susceptible to microbial infections, especially infections like trichomonal, chlamydial and candidial. Malnutrition, poor hygiene further impairs host response, increasing susceptibility to vaginitis. FEMIPLEX contains potent astringents like Saraca indica and Symplocos racemosa, which arrest excessive vaginal discharge. Mesua ferrea has antibacterial property. Tribulus terrestrisis is antifungal and Lawsonia alba is antimicrobial in action.
